Cancer patients should be informed about risk of blood clots

Cancer patient Kay Pritchard thinks there can be a more accurate estimation of the people who are going to have a clot during their cancer treatment. Although she says some people prefer to be told of the worst possible scenario at the beginning of cancer treatment, in her opinion the cancer itself is plenty to deal with at the start. She believes that blood clots must be mentioned as something for cancer patients to look out for, the same as the risk of infection in patients undergoing chemotherapy. A wife, mother, grandmother, midwife and farmer's wife, Kaye was diagnosed with blood clots in January 2013. Afterwards, she was diagnosed with cancer.
